4 Billion Cars on the Road? (03/04/11)Chairman of Ford Motor Co. Bill Ford fantasizes about there being 4 billion cars on the road by the middle of the century - up from 800 million today. Once a few more oceans of oil are found to power the construction and operation of these additional cars, perhaps such a concurrent number of vehicles would be possible - but not likely.
The cost of gasoline continues to rise making the dream of owning that luxury automobile a continuing nightmare. But hey, Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner is not only a money guru, he is also an oil wiz and assures all Americans that additional oil reserves can be tapped...once the pump gouging is done. |
