Food Crisis in America? (02/19/11)

America, the breadbasket of the world, has been mostly shielded from the recent worldwide food fiasco.  Is the American consumer just simply immune?  After all, Saudi Arabia is the largest producer of oil in the world, and Saudi's citizens have been paying for some really cheap gas as a benefit.  America will probably have 50 million people on food stamps soon - kind of like subsidized gas in Saudi.  Well, some don't see an easy path forward.  Food will ultimately go to the highest bidder - and who has the money?
