Potential FDIC Armageddon (02/17/11)

The FDIC as of the end of September 2010 is insuring $5.4 trillion in bank deposits, yet has a negative $8 billion in their deposit insurance fund.  Not a problem you say?  Read this other article that, among other things, clearly demonstrates that the Federal Government will have some difficulty in providing bailout funds to the FDIC should the need arise.
