Some politicians are waking up to the fact that all is not well (Wow: Some politicians can actually think for themselves).  Legislation in South Carolina, Georgia, and Virginia propose alternative systems to the Federal Reserve System (a.k.a. the evermore worthless Dollar).  Will such measures pass?  Probably not as it is more comfortable to follow the herd and sink with the ship than think outside of the box: stupid is as stupid does.  Besides, the government can always confiscate your gold at $200 an ounce and redeem it for SDRs at $10,000 an ounce with the IMF.
